How to enrol

In general, you can enrol in person from Monday to Thursday, from 9.30 - 1.30pm, or by post. We can only accept bookings for courses after our enrolment date - this varies from term to term. Information about enrolling is found here And here is a link to the enrolment form.

It may be possible to enrol at the first class, but we can't guarantee a place.

Important Notice - Due to Fire Regulations there are strict limits on the number of students per classroom. Some classes may also have limited student numbers for educational reasons. It is therefore advisable to enrol as early as possible.

Fees
Fees for courses must be paid in full at the time of booking. You will receive a receipt confirming your enrolment. In each course description you will find three fee levels quoted:

The full fee will be paid by everyone who is not eligible for concessionary fees. NB: We can no longer offer a concessionary fee on the basis of being retired.

- you may claim this concession if you are in receipt of any of the following:

- Incapacity Benefit
- Invalid Care Allowance
- Severe Disablement Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance
- Attendance Allowance

- A full fee-payer attending two or more courses at the same time (full fee for one course).

Concession B - if you receive any of these benefits you will NOT pay a fee

- Job Seeker’s Allowance (income or contribution based)
- Income Support
- Working Tax Credit & with a house-hold income below £15,050 a year
- Housing benefit
- Means-tested council tax benefit
- Pension Guarantee Credit only
- If you are an unwaged dependant (as defined by Job Centre Plus) of someone who receives the means-tested benefits listed
- Asylum seekers in receipt of a letter from the NASS who have been in the UK legally for 6 months
- 16-18 year-olds will not pay a fee

You can also claim for help with essential books and equipment, trips, travel and childcare from our Learner Support Fund. If you’re not on benefit but have a household income of under £15,050 a year you may also qualify for help. Help is limited to three courses a year. Enquire in confidence when you enrol.

For computer classes there are other categories which may entitle you to free tuition. Call for details.
